7 Concealed Signs That JYP Entertainment Belittled Twice Members

Nayeon always had the opening parts

JYP Entertainment Twice Nayeon always sings the opening part of their every song. This has been a hot topic in many online communities. This question was once answered by Twice’s producer, He said that Nayeon starts most of Twice’s songs because she has the brightest and most vibrant voice among the Twice group members. Being the center of the group Nayeon possesses a sweet visual and fresh energy. Her image is exceptionally suitable for the bright feminine concept that twice pursues.

That’s why she often takes the main role in most Twice group songs. but in the music industry, the basic rule is that the main vocalist and lead vocalist usually sing the song’s first line to attract listeners. That means that Jihyo twice’s main vocalist also has the opportunity to sing the song’s introduction.

7 Concealed Signs That JYP Entertainment Belittled Twice Members

Is really Jihyo the main vocalist

However, JYP Entertainment isn’t allowed to do that Jihyo. According to Twice’s producer, Jihyo is the best singer among the JYP Entertainment Twice members. She sings too well but her voice is somewhat deeper and huskier than Nayeon. So, Jihyo is best suited to sing the chorus part of the song. As a result of that circumstance, Nayeon is a more reasonable choice for the introduction because her voice is consistent with Twice’s general concept and image.

Many people wonder about the criteria to decide whether a Kpop idol be the lead vocalist or the main vocalist. When considering the difference between the main vocal and lead vocal, the main vocal needs to fully grasp the tone and message of the song. In contrast, the lead vocal is usually assigned to sing parts that most easily capture listeners’ attention. Music producers do everything to have the best product. They don’t want to bring personal feelings or discrimination into their work.

When producing a song for a group musicians divide the lines by considering which member is the best fit. They focus on music instead of personal relationships between them and the group members. Despite knowing that the main vocalist is not necessarily the one who sings the most the difference in the distribution line between Jihyo and Nayeon, always makes many people dissatisfied during the past few years. Jihyo almost gave up her main vocal position to Nayeon.

Many netizens also affirmed that JYP Entertainment is overly biased toward Nayeon. The company also receives countless negative comments when the distribution lines in the recent Twice songs like “I can’t stop me” or divide it unfairly. In the music video, Jihyo’s line distribution is only about 30 seconds long. It is nearly half less than Nayeon’s line distribution. Also, in 2019 when Twice made a comeback with “More and more“, Jihyo singing line was ranked fifth. Even behind members who were considered weak singers Chayeong or Sana.

Inconsiderate Jeongyeon

Even though Jeongyeon is also a lead vocal of Twice, here her performance was just 15 seconds which was much less than a normal lead vocal. Therefore Jeongyeon fans are really upset. They wonder if JYP Entertainment is mistreating her. This is a significant advantage for Jeongyeon. Because she is considered one of the most stable vocalists in Twice. However, since twice’s debut until now Jeongyeon has never received enough support or investment from the JYPE company. She’s hardly had a chance to show off her talent and unique voice than her colleagues.

Mina, Hideous Princess of JYP Entertainment

Basically, though fans are now well aware that Nayeon has a sweet beauty and positive energy that matches Twice’s image, they still also want other members to shine. Especially the members who sing well. At the end of the day all Twice members have worked super hard to go this far and become the Nations’ Kpop girl group. So, there are no reasons to treat them so unfairly like that.

Returning 2020 music video ‘I can’t stop me, besides Nayeon, Mina is also one of the faces attracting attention. In that music video, despite having a few singing lines Mina’s footage is still praised for being the most gorgeous with many super sparkling moments. In the main dark colors, Mina’s scene appears with stunning lighting making her look a fairy.

Let Tzuyu to shine

However, Twice’s most beautiful member Tzuyu’s fans immediately get angry because they barely see her solo scenes. Tzuyu’s screen time is minimal in the visual and her solo distribution line was only 6% of the whole songs. Most of the time her role was to accompany others. Even if the producers may find Tzuyu’s voice not very bright, the fact that she’s a visual of the group and had so little screen time like that raised lots of discontents ever since Twice’s debut.

Nobody has denied the fact that Tzuyu’s beauty is on top of Kpop beauty charts. Tzuyu has an angelic face and ideal body proportion but JYP Entertainment doesn’t invest in her makeup look and outfits. Especially in the eyes-wide-open poster series, she didn’t even get to the center position in any photo in the teasers. Fans are upset because Tzuyu deserved to be treated better.

Dahyun & Momo deserve more than that

Many of her fans even said that if JYP Entertainment did not change the way they work, they would boycott the new albums of JYP Entertainment artists. What’s more, the fact that Momo and Dahyun didn’t have any solo line distribution really made fans upset. In other words, they just sang only two parts of that particular song. During the song, fans seem to only hear them sing the most at the phrase ‘i can’t stop me can’t stop me‘ at the end of each chorus. In that song, Dahyun also didn’t have any rap line although she’s the main rapper of Twice.

At this point, not only fans but also many netizens start wondering whether JYP Entertainment is biased towards some specific members. If each member doesn’t get to prove their main role in the group there is no point to select them for such positions in the first place. On the other hand, a lot of people believe that JYP Entertainment is just doing what they have to do by giving the superior members more spotlight for the sake of the whole group.

Free with Alcohol-free

However, Twice’s latest song ‘Alcohol-free‘ change this trend.

In that song, Jihyo gets the most of the time duration and Tzuyu and Nayeon also get what they deserved. But still, Jeongyeon had minimal chance to express her talent. When considering the music video Sana and Mina are the most highlighted members. It can’t be avoided as their body types are most suited to the dance of the song. In conclusion, JYP Entertainment should provide a fair chance to each hard-working Twice members to shine in the Kpop world.
